Composition:
Sulfanilamide .. 5 % w/w
Permethrin .. 2 % w/w
Zinc Oxide …. 2 % w/w
Useful in :
Maggot wounds, Scratches, Paw Injuries, Post-Surgical wounds, Navel
infection, Post-Docking Lesions, Parasitic infection, Repels Ticks & fleas,
Foot Lesions of FMD & Dog Bite.
Direction for Use:
- Clean the affected area and sprinkle Promide-P powder on the wound, covering the entire affected area twice daily until the wound heals.
Safety Instructions:
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Close the container tightly after each use. Protect from moisture.
- Store in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Precaution:
Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.
Do not allow any licking.
Toxicity Symptoms:
Consult the vet if any toxicity symptoms occur:
- Tremors and seizures
- Drooling
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Lethargy
Do Not use in cats
How Promide-P Works:
Sulfanilamide: Sulfanilamide is a sulfonamide antibiotic. It helps in wound healing by preventing bacterial growth.
Zinc Oxide: Zinc oxide is commonly used in wound care as a protective barrier that shields the wound from external irritants and contaminants. Zinc is an essential trace element involved in various cellular processes, including DNA synthesis, cell division, and protein synthesis, all of which are critical for skin repair and regeneration.
Permethrin: Permethrin is primarily an insecticide. It can be used to treat or prevent infestations by lice, mites, or fleas in the area surrounding a wound, thus preventing secondary infections and promoting a cleaner healing environment.
